SEEDLINGS
Every idea must start small. Each year, as the growth season approaches, the students that participate in our programs begin to cultivate the seedlings that have been started in our office. We provide the tools, the plants and the knowledge. Our student participants provide the green thumb and the magic touch.

COMPARING PRICES
When harvest time rolls around, the children take time to research the cost of the produce that they have grown. This helps them to set a fair market value for the vegetables, flowers and herbs that are available for sale. The young kids involved have fun while learning the fundementals of business ethics.

SUMMER DAYS
Throughout the summer, our student participants maintain our gardens. There are 5 children's gardens located in South Akron and the Kenmore area. These gardens contain vegetables, flowers and herbs for future marketing.

THE WORLD OF SALES
We give our student participants the chance to become young entrepeneurs. We provide for them the opportunity of experiencing success by selling the crops that they have grown.

LEARNING WHILE WE GROW
There are also many opportunities for us to take a break from gardening and learn more about our environment. We have a number of areas where learning takes place.

REAPING THE REWARDS
There is a certain glow that appears in the eyes of our participants at the end of the growth season when all of their efforts are rewarded with dollar bills.
