Let's Grow Akron, Inc. COMMUNITY GARDEN PROGRAM This at one time was one of Akron's top 10 illegal dump sites. Today it is one of the most beautiful creations from the children at LGA! Enjoying the results! If there is a such thing as a priceless picture, this would be it! Team work turns into beautiful creations! The children enjoy the beautiful rock garden. If it does not look like a flower then it must be a weed. Pull it out and plant a seed!!! Main Street becomes a garden for The Harvest For Hope! And the planting begins! Making sure things are growing! There is a lot to do between planting and selling the crops. We teach our youths the importance of maintaining the crops throughout the season. We encourage all people from all backrounds to join us in this rewarding experience! Elaine Evans, the program director, has been doing this for 20 years and there is not a day that goes by that she does not enjoy her job.
